TNWs purpose is based on Joshua 3. When it says in verse 17 “now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan”, we as a community want to resemble this. We believe because of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus that we have become a living ark of the covenant. As put in scripture we believe we have become a holy priesthood and have also become the temple of the holy spirit in our day and age. What this means for our community is we believe we have something in us that the world around us needs. We believe as a community we are to take Jesus’ presence (the ark of the covenant) into the driest places with the driest people. Dry in spiritual outpouring and revival. Our purpose is to take Jesus where He may not be welcome, maybe where He hasn’t been before and definitely take Jesus wherever we go.
